Job Summary

The Senior Consultant in Business Process and Operational Systems Transformation is responsible for managing and delivering major transformation projects for strategic clients. He or she supports manufacturing organizations in evolving their business processes, planning practices, and operational systems, while providing strong leadership to client executive teams.

He serves as the project lead, ensures alignment between business needs, processes, systems, and data, and coordinates the experts involved to guarantee measurable and sustainable results.

As a senior advisor

Management of large-scale transformation projects for major clients

  • Manage large-scale, highly complex projects for strategic clients
  • Provide leadership to client departments (operations, planning, IT, finance, executive management)
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives, established priorities, and project execution

Business Process and Operations Transformation

  • Lead projects related to business processes, manufacturing planning, and process optimization
  • Analyze current processes and define target processes

Operational Systems and Manufacturing Information

  • Gather, analyze, and organize business and production requirements related to MRP/ERP systems
  • Translate operational needs into clear functional requirements
  • Serve as a bridge between internal teams and IT systems integration providers
  • Support and monitor the implementation of solutions to ensure they are aligned with operational realities
  • Ensure the consistency of manufacturing data (items, bills of materials, routings, planning parameters)

KPIs, Performance, and Continuous Improvement

  • Define and structure operational and management performance indicators
  • Establish mechanisms for monitoring and analyzing performance
  • Support customers in using KPIs as a tool for management and continuous improvement

Project Management and Governance

  • Ensure rigorous project management: scope, timeline, budget, risks, and quality
  • Establish governance mechanisms tailored to the complexity of the mandates
  • Ensure the profitability of projects and a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate and engage multidisciplinary experts, both internal and external
  • Ensure seamless collaboration with Progima’s internal teams
  • Contribute to the development of expertise and the sharing of knowledge

Qualifications

Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field
  • Any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered

Experience

  • Substantial experience (10 to 15 years or more) in complex manufacturing environments
  • Proven experience in managing major business process transformation projects
  • Experience with MRP / ERP systems, including defining business requirements, supporting implementation or optimization projects, and working with system integrators
  • Experience in consulting or a consulting environment (a significant asset)
  • A solid understanding of manufacturing operations, planning, methods, performance management, and operational data
  • Experience in complex or regulated manufacturing sectors (aerospace, defense, transportation, advanced manufacturing, etc.) (a plus)
