Design of a new state-of-the-art plant for Norbec
To expand its production capacity, Norbec wanted to build a third plant with a new state-of-the-art architectural panel production line. The company wanted the support of industrial engineering experts to clearly define the requirements regarding indoor and outdoor space, logistics and flow management between departments for the new plant.

Our intervention
Taking into account projected growth over the next 10 years, the Progima team defined space requirements for both production and warehousing. An on-site layout was used to forecast truck movements and handling requirements. The plant’s first phase production capacity was based on a detailed layout plan, while a phasing plan was produced to project growth for subsequent years.
